The newest cover athlete for the next Madden game was revealed, and we figured it would be fun to rank all of the cover photos. Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots will be on the front of Madden 17, and now you get to see where the new box art ranks among the best of all time.The criteria is thus: how cool your cover looks, the player involved, the jersey that team wore, how good they were the season after, if/how they got injured, the use of the player, their position, and how they look in motion. And for pre-2000 era games, the creativity of using John Madden and which players were behind John Madden while he posed with a headset and/or football.
