It's Sundance week, which means that trailers came slow, movie deals came fast, and there's a whole lot to read. Here are some quick recommendations:
- Movies: Kuso (super gross, made by Flying Lotus), XX (horror compilation from four exciting female directors), and Colossal (Anne Hathaway rom-com, but with kaiju).
- VR: NeuroSpeculative AfroFeminism (part art installation, part VR, part futuristic beauty salon), Chocolate (virtual cats and champagne), Miyubi (actually feels like a real movie; also: Jeff Goldblum)
- Etc.: An Inconvenient Sequel directors discuss whether we’re doomed, 3D-printed gun provocateur Cody Wilson has a documentary on “crypto-anarchists,” and wow Netflix and Amazon really made out.
